Our story
Maps made by people who know these islands.
Bahama Atlas was founded in 2019 in Nassau, Bahamas with one goal: create the most accurate, practical map resources for the Bahamian islands — the kind we wished existed when our friends came to visit.
Local first
Every route, beach, and historical site is checked on foot or by water — not pulled from a database.
Practical
We map jitneys and mailboats, not just attractions. The boring stuff is what actually saves your trip.
Independent
No tourism-board sponsorship. No paid placements masquerading as recommendations.
How we make maps
We start by walking. Or driving. Or riding the jitney end to end. Then we cross-reference government data, talk to old-timers, and overlay everything onto satellite imagery. Every map gets field-tested before it ships.
Maps are delivered as Avenza-compatible GeoPDFs so they work fully offline on your phone — no signal, no problem. Cellular data on Out Islands is unpredictable; our maps don't care.
